Employability


Leaving school to enter the world of work can be a daunting prospect for any young person, but for someone with a learning barrier it’s even tougher.

At Concept Northern we understand that a young person with additional-support needs may have extra barriers and we have the solutions to address these. Our training and technology provision is designed to promote confidence in abilities, independence and overcome direct barriers such as literacy issues, visual or hearing impairments and other additional-support needs.

We specialise in providing continuity of support at all stages of progression. We start by working with individuals while at school then we ensure that the support we put in place is continued into employment or higher education.

All our programmes are designed to be focused around the individual and flexible enough to be entered at any stage.

Funding Options.

Access to Work


An Access to Work grant can pay for practical support if you have a disability, health or mental health condition to help you start working, stay in work or move into self-employment.
